Gareth Bale’s odds of making a sensational summer switch to Manchester United have been slashed overnight.
Having been a 16/1 shot to make a move on Sunday, our traders have since cut the odds to just 9/2 on Bale joining United before the end of the transfer window.
The Welshman has long been linked with a move to the Red Devils, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and co. look as though they’ll face strong competition for the Real Madrid ace’s signature.
That’s because Bale’s old flame Tottenham Hotspur still rank as the 6/4 favourites for his signature, with a move to the MLS his third most likely option at 10/1.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “United’s Sancho chase may be over for the summer but that doesn’t mean they won’t be bringing in a blockbuster name with Bale seemingly set for a return to the Premier League.”
