Five things to keep an eye on tonight on transfer Deadline Day

Published:

It’s been a busy old Deadline Day, but even as the sun goes down and the stars come out, we’re still expecting to see a plethora of deals done before 11pm rolls around.

A host of Premier League teams are still looking to land a couple of late signings, while a number of players are similarly looking to resolve their futures.

We’ve done the reading and run the rule over 5 things to look out for this evening…

Everton

As the day has gone on, Ronald Koeman and the blues have rapidly emerged as major players.

They’ve ousted Tottenham as favourites for Moussa Sissoko, and done the same to Swansea for Enner Valencia. Will the Toffees splash the cash tonight?

Balotelli

The eternal enigma that is Mario Balolelli has been ominously quiet today.

Is he off to Nice? Is he off to Port Vale? Nobody seems to know.

Hull

They may have signed three players yesterday but there’s a reason Hull were still favourites to do the most business this morning.

Stoke and West Brom have usurped them in that market, but the Tigers are still 7/1 favourites to do the last piece of business tonight.

Sunderland

David Moyes isn’t happy with his current roster at Sunderland, the number of players linked with the Wearsiders shows us that much.

Will Lamine Kone leave? Will the Black Cats sign Jason Denayor or Steven Naismith? We fancy there’s more to come at the Stadium of Light.

Tottenham

Having signed just three players all summer, things have been a little quiet at White Hart Lane.

Spurs were 1/8 to sign Moussa Sissoko at one point this morning, but that’s now gone quiet. Tottenham are no strangers to Deadline Day drama though, so stay tuned.
