Deadline Day move looks likely for ‘betrayed’ Leicester City star

It’s hardly uncommon nowadays to see players going on strike – but it is when it’s somebody who’s currently playing for the reigning Premier league champions.

Remarkably, Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa told Sky Sports earlier this week that he feels ‘betrayed’ by Claudio Ranieri, and that he’ll never play for the club again.

Why? We’re not entirely sure – especially given that he’s featured in six different competitions for the Foxes this season, making 19 appearances in the process.

But his mind has clearly been made up, and it looks as though a whole host of clubs will be battling it out for the Argentine’s signature today.

And as things stand it’s Sunderland who lead the way in the race for the 30-year-old at 11/10.

But we wouldn’t be surprised to see West Brom’s odds to fall throughout the day. They’re currently a 5/2 shot for the Leicester man, with Tony Pulis’ hunt for a striker is ongoing following Saido Berahino’s exit.

The Welsh boss has already had an enquiry for Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson turned away, while Aston Villa are the clear favourites to sign Brentford’s Scott Hogan.

While Ulloa may not be the long-term solution for the Baggies, a short-term loan deal until the end of the season could suit all parties.

Meanwhile, a move abroad could be on the cards with Galatasaray and Alaves both priced up at 8/1 respectively.

And our traders are refusing to rule out a return to Brighton & Hove Albion. The Seagulls are 16/1 to bring Ulloa back to the AMEX Stadium.
