Chelsea look set to be on course to bagging the signing of Fiorentina’s Colombian international Juan Cuadrado, with the player’s agent reportedly in London to discuss the mechanics of the deal.

The attacker was a stand-out player for Los Cafeteros in the World Cup in Brazil last summer, and it is perhaps no surprise to see plenty of interest come in for him.

Reporter for Sky Sport 24 in Italy, Guglielmo Cannavale seems to believe that a deal to bring him to west London is well on the way.

The 26-year-old can play as a winger, predominantly on the right-hand side, but is also capable of dropping deeper into a wing-back role, something he has been required to do for La Viola this season.

He’s featured 16 times for the Florence club in Serie A so far this campaign, chipping in with four goals and four assists to help the club maintain a challenge on the European qualification places.

He has all the attributes to succeed in the Premier League, and would be a decent signing for the current leaders. But what would it mean for some of their other attacking players?

Mohamed Salah has, for a long time now, looked like his spell at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end.

He has featured just seven times for Chelsea in all competitions, racking up little more than four hours game-time in the process.

A loan deal to the likes of Sunderland has been reported as being in the offing throughout this window, and the arrival of another player capable of delivering in the same role could seal the deal for the Egyptian.

But another player, who could be on the way out is Andre Schurrle.

Ironically it could hinge on the movement of former Chelsea player Kevin De Bruyne.

The Belgian has been linked with a move to Arsenal or Manchester United lately, and although Wolfsburg are unwilling to sell their star man, a big bid could tempt their arm.

If he does move, it is rumoured they are looking at bringing the Blues’ number 14 back to Germany, with Schurrle himself struggling to hold down a regular starting berth in England.

With just a week-and-a-half to go in the Transfer Window, things might just be warming up for Jose Mourinho’s men.
