Chris Wilder new favourite in Prem Sack Race

Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is now favourite with our traders in the Premier League Sack Race.

Having watched the Blades go 13 league games without a win, we’ve now made Wilder 7/4 to be the first manager to lose his job, with Fulham’s Scott Parker and West Brom gaffer Slaven Bilic 4/1 shots respectively.

Elsewhere, a turnaround in fortunes has seen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s odds drift to 7/1, having been favourite in the betting a few weeks back, while every other name is now 10/1 or bigger.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Sheffield United can’t buy a win at the moment, and after picking up just one point from 10 games, it’s no surprise to see Wilder head the Sack Race betting.”

Wilder’s side were the surprise package for many last season finishing 9th in their return to the top flight, but will their alarming slide down the table mean a change in the dugout at Bramall Lane?
