Chelsea favourites for sensational £86m Deadline Day move for Torino’s Belotti

Published:

It may be a quiet Deadline Day so far for the Premier League big boys, but that could be about to spectaularly change in the coming hours.

Reports are emerging this afternoon that Chelsea are considering a staggering £86.1m move to Torino hotshot Andrea Belotti.

The 23-year-old striker has been linked with the Blues – and Arsenal – repeatedly in recent months.

But now it appears Antonio Conte’s side might go all in to land one of Europe’s brightest up-and-coming talents.

A number of outlets today claim Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo is in Italy to try and seal the deal.

And we make the Stamford Bridge outfit 4/1 favourites to sign the Italian international today.

Arsenal are next in the market at 8s, ahead of Manchester City and PSG at 12/1 respectively.

Michy Batshuayi has failed to impress at Stamford Bridge this season, and has been heavily tipped with a loan move elsewhere.

That would leave Chelsea short in support for Diego Costa, and it might just be that the Blues test Torino’s resolve today.

The failure to land Fernando Llorente from Swansea has also added weight to the claims that Chelsea are about to break the bank for Belotti.

The forward has netted a highly impressive 14 goals from 19 Serie A games this term, and has supplied four assists for his team-mates.

Torino have a budding core of young talent, and have been working hard to secure their futures this season.

But demand for Belotti is increasing all the time, despite the Italian side slapping an £86m release clause on their star man.
