The Emirates Cup makes a return this weekend, and there’s plenty of intrigue surrounding the pre-season tournament.
Arsenal welcome Sevilla, Benfica and RB Leibzig in a top-quality quartet in North London.
The four teams will play twice, once each this Saturday and Sunday.
It’s three points for a win and one for a draw, with an additional point for every goal a team scores.
The headline attraction this weekend will be Alexandre Lacazette, who is set to appear before Arsenal fans for the first time.
He’s played for the Gunners already in Australia and China, but this will be the Frenchman’s first match action for his new club in England.
But Arsenal’s record signing won’t be the only slice of intrigue at the Emirates Stadium, especially for any scouts in the area.
Amid continued speculation that Leibzig’s Naby Keita is wanted by Liverpool, it will be interesting to see if the Bundesliga outfit choose to play their midfield star this weekend.
And his team-mate Emil Forsberg will also be kept a close eye on, having supplied a stunning 22 assists in the German top-tier last term.
Then there’s Sevilla, who boast quality in all areas.
The Europa League kings boast plenty of talent up from in Wissam Ben Yedder, Luis Muriel and Joaquin Correa.
But their star man now is arguably Steven N’Zonzi, with the former Blackburn Rovers man linked with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs in recent months.
And finally we have Benfica, who also boast a dazzling array of forwards, including £18m man Raul Jimenez and former Fulham forward Konstantinos Mitroglou.
