Paris Saint-Germain’s Julian Draxler could be a major mover in the January transfer window.
The German has seen both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe arrive in the French capital this summer, making competition fierce for a starting spot.
With Angel di Maria, Lucas and Argentine youngster Giovani Lo Celso also fighting for a place, Draxler has plenty of rivals to fend off.
And depending on how PSG’s negotiation of the FFP rules plays out, they may need to cash in on a player or two.
That could be good news for Premier League duo Liverpool and Arsenal, who have both been linked with Draxler in recent months.
And our traders reckon both clubs have a great shot at landing the 23-year-old.
Arsenal are 7/2 favourites, with Liverpool right in the hunt at 4/1.
Jurgen Klopp spent much of the summer fending off Barcelona’s advances for Philippe Coutinho.
But the Brazilian made his intentions clear by handing in a transfer request, and an Anfield exit next summer can’t be ruled out. Draxler would be a suitable replacement.
It’s a similar story for Arsenal, who are set to lose Alexis Sanchez.
Unless the Chilean signs a new deal he will either leave for around £30m in January, or for free at the end of the season. Again Draxler would be a solid successor.
The German international arrived in Paris for £36m from Wolfsburg in January, and is under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2021.
The winger has made five appearances for Unai Emery’s side this season, and netted four times from 17 Ligue 1 games following his mid-season switch last term.
