Promotion chasing sides key to successful League Two treble

Published:

The race for promotion to League One is heating up and we have picked out three sides pushing for League Two glory in our weekend fourth tier treble.

Our news team does not expect any slip ups this weekend with league leaders Chesterfield the pick alongside Fleetwood and Rochdale in a tasty treble that returns £49.70 from a £10 stake.

Chesterfield to beat Bristol Rovers @ 4/6

Chesterfield are back to home comforts this weekend after two impressive back-to-back victories on the road maintained their spot at the top of League Two.

Paul Cook’s side’s promotion charge is expected to continue against a Bristol Rovers side, (del. comma) who are without a win on the road in six.

The Spireites have not tasted defeat at the Proact Stadium in nine league matches and they look a good bet to continue that run against the Pirates.

Fleetwood to beat York City @ 8/11

Fleetwood’s recent resurgence continued on Monday night with a hard fought point against promotion rivals Scunthorpe.

The draw at Glanford Park took their unbeaten run in League Two to five games and they can carry on that momentum against an out-of-form York City.

Gary Mills’ side suffered back-to-back defeats in the space of three days and with just one win in 11 league matches on the road, Fleetwood can dominate proceedings at Highbury.

Rochdale to beat Dagenham @ 8/11

Rochdale’s FA Cup ride may have been fun while it lasted but now they can get back to focussing on their League Two promotion push, starting with victory over Dagenham.

Keith Hill’s side have been in excellent form in the league with just one defeat, coming at the hands of in-form Scunthorpe, in seven contests, while they are on a run of three straight wins at Spotland Stadium.

In contrast, the Daggers are on a run of nine without a win in all competitions away from Victoria Road and should not cause Dale too many problems.
