Even the most ardent Preston North End fan would have struggled to begrudge Blackpool their Wembley triumph on Sunday, as the Tangerines returned to League One, having endured three relegations in six years prior to this season.
And to celebrate the Lancashire club’s success, we’ve priced up a flurry of specials on Gary Bowyer’s men.
There’s 12/1 on offer for the Seasiders to complete the double-bounce with promotion from the third tier at the first time of asking.
Meanwhile, it’s 40/1 they win the League One title next term, although there’s 13/8 on offer for the club to suffer relegation in 2017-18.
However, our traders think it’s more likely that the good times are returning – on the pitch, at least – with odds of 6/4 for the club to reach the Championship within the next five seasons.
And fans can back Gary Bowyer’s men to make it back to the Premier League – where the club spent the 2010-11 campaign – within the next decade, at 4/1.
For now though, the club’s Wembley triumph means the resumption of a local rivalry with Fleetwood Town.
Bowyer’s side took four points from the Cod Army during 2015-16, and there’s 7/1 on offer for the Seasiders to go one better by doing the double over Uwe Rosler’s men in the coming campaign.
And talking of next season, there’s a 500/1 shot available which could tempt the most optimistic of Blackpool fans.
That’s the price we’re offering for the Tangerines to go unbeaten in League One, they did enjoy a nine-match unbeaten run during the season just finished.
For now, the future looks promising for Blackpool fans. As far as they’re concerned, long may it continue!
