Ladbrokes punter picks up £520k from four whopping 20-plus-fold accas

An Irish punter has scooped over half a million pounds from four whopping accumulator bets placed over the weekend.
The man from Galway placed four separate accumulator bets over the weekend – needing a staggering 22 or 23 results in each acca to correctly go his way – and all four wagers relied on the incredibly late winner in the 92nd minute between Sevilla v Alaves on Sunday evening to land £520,632.
The four bets saw £43 staked in total in a Ladbrokes shop, where the punter’s teams spanned across several European and South American leagues, requiring a mixture of victories, both teams scoring and under 3.5 goals in the game.
One accumulator was cashed out for £88k with the rest left to ride it out until full-time. However, had the customer let all four bets run he could’ve seen an extra £46k in his bank account today.
Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “Needing over 20 teams’ results to go your way is no mean feat and we can only doff our cap to our plucky punter who is over half a million quid richer thanks to a dramatic winner in the 92nd minute by Papu Gomez.”
