La Liga Betting Tips: Title in sight for Atletico
La Liga’s title race is reaching an exciting conclusion but Barcelona’s shock defeat at Levante during the week means it now looks a two-horse race between the Madrid giants.
Atletico’s 2-1 victory over Real Sociedad on Wednesday has left them just two wins away from winning the title for the first time in seven years which is priced at 1/4 but Real Madrid are hanging on to their coattails following a big win at Granada on Thursday.
Diego Simeone’s side are also 1/4 to beat Osasuna on Sunday, when all 10 matches kick off at 5.30pm, and we have examined all three title contenders in our La Liga betting tips.
Atletico Madrid v Osasuna
Atleti took full advantage of Barcelona’s midweek slip-up by defeating Sociedad thanks to goals from Yannick Carrasco and Angel Correa inside the first half an hour, although their nerves were tested when the visitors pulled one back four minutes from time.

The Red and Whites have the best home record this season (W14 D3 L1), with nine of those wins producing three or fewer match goals.
The hosts are 4/5 to win and under 3.5 goals and 8/11 to win to nil, which has been the case in four of their last five meetings, bearing in mind they have kept clean sheets in a Liga-high 18 games this season.
However, they beat Osasuna 3-1 earlier in the campaign and a win and both teams to score is available at 27/10.
Barcelona v Celta Vigo
The Catalans threw away a 2-0 half-time lead in a 4-3 defeat at Levante and need a miracle if they are to overhaul Atletico at the top of the table.
Celta Vigo have taken points off Barca in each of the last six seasons so the hosts should beware having won 3-0 earlier in the season.
The visitors are 10/1 to win, 5/1 to draw, 13/2 draw no bet or 3/1 in the double chance market as they look to extend that run into a seventh season.
Barca have won just one of their last four and conceded 13 goals in their last seven games so we go 6/5 on a home win and both teams to score or simply goals at both ends is 8/13.
Athletic Bilbao v Real Madrid
Real Madrid are two points behind Atletico with just a couple of games remaining following a 4-1 win at Granada and it’s clear what they need to do if they are to have a chance of retaining their title.
The 13-time European champions have not lost to the Basques in 11 meetings and are 7/10 to win on Sunday but Athletic have drawn four of the last seven matches against Los Blancos and a share of the spoils is 27/10.
Athletic lost their first four games against the big three this season but they beat Atletico 2-1 at home last month and they are 19/5 to spring another surprise.
