Football is finally back on our screens, with La Liga, Serie A, the Premier League and the Championship all announcing their return to action this month.

Of course, this will all be behind closed doors, but that doesn’t mean fans can’t create some atmosphere or enjoy a good pre-match build-up!

Grub’s up

Football is a feast for the senses, none more so than when you’re walking down to the ground past all the burger vans and butty bars.

So it’s only right to start your pre-match routine with a good burger – plenty of onions – or a bacon roll from the kitchen to help kick-start that big-game vibe!

Your favourite seat

Some improvisation is needed here, but just because you can’t sit inside the ground, doesn’t mean you can’t replicate it at home.

Grab your scarves, shirts and any other memorabilia you might have, and your living room can quickly look like the home end of your club stadium!

Grab your mates

No, not literally of course. But with Skype and Zoom now more popular than ever, plenty of fans will be grabbing their mates for a digital chinwag.

It might be over video rather than face-to-face, but every pre-match build-up by rights includes discussing the starting eleven and your score predictions with your mates!

Enjoy the game

After all that, there’s only one thing for it, to settle in and enjoy the game!
