Friday 29th May – What Sport is on?

Friday’s sport is a chance to whet your appetite ahead of the weekend with Football, Horse Racing and Rugby League to feast on.

Here is our sporting guide for Friday 29th May…

Football

Kick-off the weekend with some Friday night football in the German Bundesliga with Freiburg versus Bayer Leverkusen the pick of the games.

The visitors start the match as 2/3 favourites with over 2.5 goals 8/15 odds at the Schwarzwald Stadion. Plus, two more games in 2.Bundesliga including Darmstadt v Greuther Furth.

Elsewhere in Europe,we’ve got Silkeborg (15/4) v Nordsjaelland (4/7) play in the Danish Superligaen, plus Gorodeya versus Neman Grodno in the Belarusian Vysshaya League.

In South Korea, there is action from the K-League with Daegu against Sangju Sangmu Phoenix. The home side kick-off as 23/20 favourites.

Horse Racing

There is plenty of racing to saddle up to on Friday including meetings in Europe, USA, Australia and Japan.

In France, Moulins get us out the stalls at 10:30 before busy schedules at Marseille (11:15), Lavel (15:40) and Bordeaux Le Bouscat (15:58). Dortmund in Germany also hosts eight races from 15:30.

Over in America, there is action from eight different courses with the pick of the racing coming from Tampa Bay Downs (17:35), Gulfstream (17:45) and Churchill Downs (18:00).

In Australia, Sunshine Coast brings us eight races from 08:00 with Gold Coast (02:40), Goulburn (02:55) and Geelong (03:25) all earlier in the morning.

Darts

The PDC Home Tour Play-offs continue with six matches from Group Four starting with Dave Chisnall v Damon Heta at 19:30.

Other players on the night include Darren Webster and Geert Nentjes with Chisnall 4/9 to score the most 180s on the night.

Don’t forget your daily dose of Modus Icons of Darts too! There are another twenty-one games from the oche with Boris Koltsov (4/7) v Justin Smith (13/10) to throw the first darts.

Koltsov is 15/8 favourite to be the Day Five winner ahead of Martin Adams (2/1), Smith (9/2) and Paul Nicholson (15/2).

There are also four more matches from the Remote Darts League at 21:00.

Rugby League

It’s a double header of NRL action in Australia including a Sydney Derby match to enjoy.

North Queensland Cowboys v Gold Coast Titans is the first of the two games kicking off with the home side comfortable 1/3 favourites to overturn Titans at 12/5.

Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs should provide a tasty match up between two local rivals. Roosters are 2/5 favourites with Daniel Tupou 4/5 to score a try anytime in the match.
