Frank Lampard odds-on in Premier League sack race

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is odds-on with our traders to be the next Premier League manager sent packing.

The Blues suffered yet another defeat on Tuesday night against Leicester and have slashed Lampard’s Sack Race odds to just 4/5, putting him firmly at the head of the betting.

Their recent loss has left Chelsea 7/4 to finish in the top four this season. Chelsea are nine points behind The Foxes, who moved to the top of the table.

Will Lampard have the chance to turn the Londoners fortunes around? They host Luton Town in the FA Cup on Saturday, before welcoming Wolves and Burnley to Stamford Bridge later this month.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce (15/8) is next in the betting to be sacked with his side without a win since November. Sheffield United’s Chris Wilder is a 3/1 shot to be shown the door; The Blades are rock bottom of the table with one win from their nineteen league matches this season.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Things haven’t exactly gone according to plan for Lamps this season and with his Chelsea side continuing to slide down the table, it looks as though he’ll soon be sent packing.”
