After a full weekend of FA Cup action, Wycombe Wanderers and Hereford will play out the last of the third round ties on Tuesday night, but don’t expect the FA Cup magic to continue at Adams Park.
It was just over a fortnight ago when these two sides last met and Wycombe ran out the 2-1 winners that day and it’s 7/1 that we witness a repeat the Boxing Day clash.
Wycombe are the 4/6 favourites to progress into the fourth round and a quick look at the League Two table would suggest they should have no problems in repeating their Boxing Day victory.
Hereford are currently the Football League’s bottom side and Wycombe have reignited their title charge thanks to a run of five wins from their last six games.
Hereford can be backed at 9/2 to beat Wycombe but the Bulls have never beaten Wycombe on the Adams Park pitch and punters are better off backing Wycombe to confirm their fourth round tie with Sheffield Wednesday.
In seven clashes between the two sides, only two of them have produced under 2.5 goals and goals should be expected on Tuesday night, especially after Hereford came from 2-1 down to beat Lincoln 4-3 on Saturday.
Stewart Fleetwood, 8/1 to score first, and Mathieu Manset (7/1) are the danger men for Hereford and should cause Wycombe problems having scored eight of Wycombe’s last nine goals.
But Hereford’s problem is their leaky defence having conceded 41 in 22 league games and a 3-2 win for Wycombe looks the pick of the betting market at 25/1.
With goals expected, Wycombe may have to come from behind to take the win and Hereford to be leading at half time with Wycombe to be leading at full-time is priced at 22/1.
A £10 stake on Manset scoring first but Wycombe winning 3-2 would return £2,010. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
