There were fireworks when these two met in the Premiers League, with 12 goals in two fixtures, but Everton are not nearly as charitable nowadays, and 7/2 for the home side to win by two goals is about as romantic as this one gets.
Blackpool could not have picked a worse time to be heading to Goodison Park. The Toffees are positively flying after successive home wins against Manchester City and Chelsea.
To compound matters, Everton did not concede in either and it is hard to envisage Blackpool succeeding where Sergio Aguero and co failed so miserably.
David Moyes’ men are 6/1 for either a 1-0 or 2-0 win in the FA Cup odds.
Under normal circumstances, the Tangerines might have fancied their chances to cause an upset.
Ian Holloway’s side are now ten games unbeaten in all competitions, including seven wins, and have scored an impressive 25 goals along the way. Their record of 27 goals on the road is not bettered by any other Championship club.
Their FA Cup record however suggests they have already outstayed their welcome in this year’s competition.
Blackpool are in the fifth round for the first time since 1990 and were dumped out of the cup in the third round in each of the last four years.
However, they can take comfort from Everton’s 1-0 home defeat to Championship Reading at this stage last season. The Seasiders are 6/1 to pull off a similar feat.
Blackpool will be heavily reliant on Matt Phillips if they are to mount a serious challenge. Phillips, who is 5/2 to score at any time, fired a second-half hat-trick at Fleetwood in the third round but missed the midweek trip to Doncaster with a tight hamstring.
Everton tend to share the goals around, with Victor Anichebe and Leighton Baines their top marksmen with just four each.
New man Nikica Jelavic is 4/1 to mark what would be his first start for the club with the opening goal.
