Only Udinese’s failure to find the winner against Bologna in Serie A stopped our editors from a 4/4 success last time, but this week the Italian club have another chance to make amends.

Here are four more carefully considered punts we feel should become pocket-liners ahead of the weekend fixtures…

Draw and under 2.5 goals in Napoli v Milan @ 29/10

Ok, so this requires two elements to fall into place, namely that the score has to either be 1-1 or 0-0 when the final whistle is blown at the San Siro.

Added to this, the prolific early league leaders Napoli, would have to be stopped from scoring more than once for the first time this season.

However, recent history tells us that, aside from a 3-0 home win two seasons back, this fixture has produced two 1-1’s and a 0-0 in the last four seasons.

Over 2.5 goals in Chievo v Udinese @ 11/10

A slightly less profitable slice of the Serie A pie here, but perhaps a more solid punt nonetheless. Chievo have been busy shipping goals for fun at the beginning of their league campaign, seven in the last two games to be precise.

Furthermore, both meetings between these sides last season produced goal-filled thrillers, with the 3.5 goals mark breached on both occasions.

Nice to beat Valenciennes @ 3/4

This is not a fixture that has been particularly kind to Valenciennes in the past, as they have failed to score on their last three visits to Nice and were on the receiving end of a 5-0 thrashing last season.

They have lost both games on the road this season too, while Nice are unbeaten at home and their only defeat thus far was at Lyon.

Those wanting a slightly bigger price may be tempted by the 15/8 that Nice triumph without conceding.

Gil Vicente to beat Olhanense @ 10/11

Gil Vicente have won both of their home games so far in Portugal and haven’t been disgraced in either of their away fixtures, which have happened to be against Porto and Benfica.

Olhanense’s only win to date this season was a scrambled one against bottom-club Pacos Ferreira.
