After opening the chequebook over the summer to bring in Radamel Falcao, Joao Moutinho and James Rodriquez, Monaco have wasted no time in climbing up to the summit of Ligue 1.

Four wins and a draw have put the side from the principality in pole position but now they face a crunch clash with reigning champions and also unbeaten PSG. Claudio Ranieri’s men are 10/3 to claim another victory.

PSG will undoubtedly provide Monaco with their toughest test so far. The reigning champions got off to a slow start in the French top tier with successive draws, but have since kicked into gear with three wins and produced a convincing display in midweek with a 4-1 thumping of Olympiakos in the Champions League.

Laurent Blanc’s team are unbeaten at the Parc des Princes since November, and Monaco have recorded just a single victory there in their last six visits, going a long way to explain the home side’s price of 17/20.

Due to Monaco’s stay in Ligue 2 in the past couple of years, the two sides haven’t met since 2010/2011 where two draws were played out, a result which is at 12/5 here.

It’s the draw which may appeal to most, as despite PSG’s home record, Monaco have more than enough talent to match their opponents and on paper there is little to separate the sides.

It’s almost inconceivable to think that either side will keep a clean sheet, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Edinson Cavani, Falcao and Moutinho all on the same pitch, and 3/4 on both teams to score looks great value.

With all that talent on show in the French capital, the 13/2 on a 1-1 result or 16/1 on a 2-2 draw could appeal.

Ibrahimovic is 4/1 to open the scoring, but it’s team-mate Cavani at 9/2 who could be worth backing, with the Uruguayan netting first twice already this season, something Falcao at 6/1, has also achieved.
