Europa League betting tips: Tottenham and Rangers to reach the last 32?

| 03.12.2020

It’s the penultimate round of group stage matches in the Europa League tonight as a batch of the British contingent aim to strengthen their grip on top spot or book their place in the knockout stages.

Leicester and Arsenal may have already qualified for the last 32 of the Europa League, and they’ll be joined by Tottenham and Rangers tonight if the latter duo win on matchday five.

We look ahead to the action with the latest odds and previews for tonight’s matches…

AC Milan v Celtic – 17:55

Celtic (10/1) can no longer qualify for the knockout stages after only taking one point from their four matches in Group H. Can Neil Lennon’s side pick up any points at the San Siro?

The Rossoneri can cement their place in the knockout stages with a win and they are 1/4 favourites to take all three points on home soil, despite only taking one point from their last two group games.

Celtic are a team low on confidence and they come up against one of the most illustrious sides in Europe. Milan beat Celtic 3-1 on matchday one and it could be a similar tale to heap more misery on the Scottish side.

Ante Rebic is 21/20 to score anytime for the Serie A leaders with Brahim Diaz 7/2 to score first. For Celtic, Odsonne Edouard is 10/3 to score anytime.

Zorya Luhansk v Leicester City – 17:55

The Foxes travel to Ukraine having already booked their place in the knockout stages, and know that a win would secure top spot. Leicester kick-off as 4/6 favourites against Zorya Luhansk (19/5).

Brendan Rodgers must decide whether to risk naming a weakened team against the bottom side in Group G. Leicester played out a pulsating 3-3 draw in Braga last time out and we could see more goals in Ukraine tonight. Both teams to score is 8/13 with over 3.5 goals 6/4.

Jamie Vardy is 4/6 to score anytime with Kelechi Iheanacho 5/2 to break the deadlock. Oleksandr Gladkiy is 13/5 to score anytime for the hosts.

LASK v Tottenham – 17:55

Group J is still wide open with two games to play with three teams still capable of reaching the knockout stages before kick-off.

Tottenham travel to the Linzer Stadion as 3/5 favourites, with the hosts bidding to take all three points to go level on points with Jose Mourinho’s side. LASK are 9/2 outsiders to win. A draw is 3/1.

Spurs will be determined to secure their spot in the next round before they welcome current leaders Royal Antwerp to North London next week. Tottenham beat LASK 3-0 on matchday one and will be hoping for a repeat performance.

Harry Kane is 5/6 to score anytime with Carlos Vinicius and Son Heung-min both 7/2 to score first in Austria. Johannes Eggestein is 13/5 to score anytime for LASK.

Arsenal v Rapid Vienna – 20:00

Arsenal have dominated Group B with four wins from four matches, scoring twelve times and only conceding twice.

The Gunners are 1/2 to continue their impeccable Europa League form with a win at the Emirates Stadium ahead of their clash with Tottenham in the Premier League this weekend. Arsenal to win to nil is 19/10.

Mikel Arteta may well be tempted to rotate his side with the north London derby in mind. Vienna are 5/1 outsiders to take all three points with a draw 7/2.

Joe Willock has been directly involved in five goals in his last three Europa League appearances. He is 7/2 to score anytime for the Gunners. Both teams to score 4/7.

Rangers v Standard Liege– 20:00

Rangers (2/5) host Belgian side Standard Liege in the Europa League on Thursday night hoping to continue their unbeaten run in all competitions and book their place into the knockout stages.

Meanwhile, Liege (7/1) travel to Ibrox knowing that anything but a win would knock them out of the competition. The Belgian side have won just one of their last nineteen away matches in the tournament and face a Gers side still brimming with confidence under Steven Gerrard.

Alfredo Morelos is 11/8 to score anytime with Kemar Roofe 7/2 to score first at Ibrox. For Liege, Jackson Muleka is 7/2 to score anytime.
