The European Championship is just around the corner and hopefully we’ll see plenty of goals, but which team will be the highest scorers at the tournament?

England scored 37 goals in their eight qualifiers at an average of 4.625 per game and are 9/2 joint favourites with Spain to top the charts.

We’re taking a look at the Three Lions’ chances and some of the leading contenders in the Euro 2020 highest scoring team odds.

England

Harry Kane is one of the world’s best strikers and his 12 goals helped England qualify with ease for the European Championship.

On matchday one, the Three Lions captain scored in a 5-0 victory over Czech Republic, one of England’s opponents during the group stage at the finals, although they lost 2-1 in Prague in the return fixture – their only defeat.

England would like to think they could score goals against Scotland, but if they are to win the tournament they must face the runner-up in Group F which could be either France, Germany or Portugal.

Spain

Luis Enrique’s side scored 31 goals in a six-team qualifying group for Euro 2020, but their recent 6-0 drubbing of Germany means they share top billing with England in the highest scoring team odds.

Gerard Moreno, Alvaro Morata and Ferran Torres, who scored a hat-trick against Germany, will be tasked with getting the goals for the 2008 and 2012 champions, but Sweden will be hard to break down, so they will target Slovakia to boost their goals tally.

Belgium

The world’s number one-ranked team look interesting at 5/1 in the Euro 2020 highest scoring team odds having hit the net 40 times in qualifying, the most of any side at an average of four goals per game.

The Red Devils were also the top scorers at the 2018 World Cup with 16 goals and with Romelu Lukaku in their ranks they have a striker who eats, drinks and breathes goals.

Roberto Martinez’s men put seven goals in total past Russia, a team they meet on June 12, and recently smashed eight past Belarus in a World Cup qualifier.

They will meet one of the third-placed teams in the round of 16 if they win Group B so they could go far at the tournament.

France

The world champions topped their qualifying group but they only scored 25 goals in their 10 qualifiers and found the net just four times in their three recent World Cup qualifiers against Ukraine, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Kazakhstan.

Didier Deschamps’ side can turn it on when they want, though, having put seven past Ukraine in a friendly in October one month after beating Croatia 4-2 in the Nations League, a repeat scoreline from the World Cup final in Russia.

France have two of the world’s best strikers in Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbappe, both on target in the 3-0 win against Wales, and they can be backed at 15/2 to finish as top scorers.
