The biggest game of the Championship season sees top of the table QPR face second placed Cardiff City in what promises to be a fiery encounter.

Neil Warnock’s men are 11/10 to win and maintain their unbeaten start to the season, but will face a tough task to see off a Cardiff side who will be determined to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest last weekend.

Despite losing consecutive home games against Swansea and Forest, Dave Jones insists his side is heading to QPR to win.

Speaking to the South Wales Echo, he said: “QPR score goals late in games and we have to be aware of that. They were 2-0 down at Derby County and scored two goals in the last minute to draw 2-2. That shows what they can do.

“I can understand the excitement. It’s top against second and billed as the biggest game of the season. We want maximum points and that would put us back on top of the table.”

Cardiff will have their work cut out against a side that has conceded just eight goals in 18 league matches this term. The Bluebirds should prove QPR’s toughest opponents this season though, with Michael Chopra, Craig Bellamy and Championship top scorer Jay Bothroyd amongst their formidable attacking options.

QPR are hardly short of attacking flair either, with the hugely impressive Abel Taarabt already bagging eight Championship goals this term.

There is little to choose between the sides and with eight of QPR’s last ten games finishing in draws, backing this clash to finish level at 23/10 could certainly be worth putting some cash on.

A £10 bet on the game to finish 2-2 pays out a massive £140. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
