We’ve put together a tasty looking Championship treble featuring three of this season’s promotion contenders Blackpool, Burnley and Leicester, with a £10 stake paying just under £80!
Blackpool v Blackburn – Both teams to score @ 17/20
The tangerines come up against a seemingly inconsistent Blackburn Rovers side which has lost the last two and have just a single away victory all season. Despite this, Rovers could count their most recent away defeat as a tad unlucky, with the 10-man side looking likely to hold out for a 1-1 draw until conceding a 90th minute Emerson Boyce winner at the DW Stadium
In Jordan Rhodes and Leon Best, Rovers’ forward line poses a real threat to Blackpool’s shaky looking defence. Gary Bowyer’s Rovers side have scored at least once in eight of their 12 league games, with their West Lancashire rivals scoring in 10 of their 12 Championship matches.
All of which points to both teams finding the back of the net.
Burnley to beat QPR @ 13/8
This season’s surprise package in the Championship, Burnley, boast an impeccable home record this season. The Clarets are yet to lose in front of the Turf Moor faithful and with Sean Dyche’s troops having broken their Ipswich hoodoo last weekend, it would be foolish to bet against the East Lancashire team.
Coupled with Burnley’s remarkable start to the season, Harry Redknapp’s expensively assembled team squandered a 2-1 lead at the weekend to draw 2-2 against lowly Millwall. That alone, should give the league leaders plenty of encouragement ahead of this top of the table clash.
Leicester to beat Bournemouth @ 8/13
Nigel Pearson’s Leicester City side look imperious at the King Power Stadium this season, having dropped just two points in front of the City supporters, and it’s this form which has seen the team skyrocket up the table to the third place they currently occupy.
Bournemouth have been inconsistent on their travels, having lost four and drawn two of their six away games. With the Cherries lying in 10th place in the table, coupled with Leicester’s sensational home form, anything other than a home victory would be a major upset.
