Leeds seal Man City youngster in pick of Championship moves

Despite losing Lubomir Michalik in a loan deal to Carlisle earlier in the day, Leeds have responded well with the permanent signings of Adam Clayton and Ramon Nunez as they look to continue their rise up the lower divisions.

Ex-Manchester City Clayton had signed for Leeds on loan earlier this month but his move was made permanent after convincing Leeds boss, Simon Grayson, of his potential during his loan spells with Carlilse last season.

Leeds have received a work permit for Nunez after the Honduran impressed during his trial spell and the versatile player can play either up front or in midfielder as Grayson looks to fill the void left by Jermaine Beckford’s departure.

Leeds are 14/1 to win the Championship and Grayson will hope his new signings can steer Leeds in the right direction.

Reading lost Sigurdsson to Hoffenheim for a reported £5m this morning but Royals boss Brian McDermott has completed a season-long loan for Blackburn’s Zurab Khizanishvilli and brought in Carlisle’s Ian Harte as Reading look to challenge for the Championship, they are 16/1 to do so.

Relegation candidates Watford, 100/1 to win the Championship, have confirmed the loan signing of Middlesborough left back Andrew Taylor in a bid to shore up their defence as they look to stay in the division.

Derby have landed highly rated Spanish striker Alberto Bueno from Real Valladolid on a season long loan.

Bueno started his career at Real Madrid and Derby will be hoping he can provide the goals in their quest for mid-table mediocrity.

Hull will be looking to bounce straight back into the Premier League, they are 33/1 for promotion, and hope Anthony Gerrard can guide them in the right direction after his loan move from Cardiff.

As the transfer window closed, Portsmouth signed Dave Kitson from Premier League side Stoke and Martin Waghorn joined Leicester for £3m.
