Wednesday’s Champions League Betting Tips: Man City and Liverpool to move closer to qualification?

Published:

After both Chelsea and Manchester United won last night, it’s now up to Manchester City and Liverpool to make it a clean sweep for the English clubs on matchday four.

We get a second opportunity to watch Inter Milan and Real Madrid lock horns, plus Bayern Munich take on RB Salzburg.

It’s another crucial night in the Champions League group stage and we’ve got the odds you need to know about.

Olympiakos v Man City, 17:55

Three points would virtually secure City of top spot, with Porto needing a nearimpossible goal swing.

Our traders tend to agree with Pep Guardiola’s men at 3/10 for the victory tonight. Olympiakos haven’t won any of their last four home games against English opponents in European competition, which could explain the lengthy 10/1 for a home win.

Sergio Aguero returned to the City bench in the defeat to Tottenham last weekend, he’s 5/6 to score anytime with Raheem Sterling 4/1 to break the deadlock.

Olympiakos’ -4 goal difference means they face an uphill task to qualify for the last-sixteen. Their forward Hillel Soudani is 4/1 anytime, but Both Teams to Score in a Cityzens win is 19/10.

Liverpool v Atalanta, 20:00

Mohamed Salah should return to the Liverpool squad tonight that are 8/13 on to breeze past Atalanta again.

The 5-0 humbling in Bergamo will be remembered for Diogo Jota’s first Champions League hat-trick. He’s 11/2 to score 2 or more this time out.

Atalanta are still in the mix for qualification and after last season’s European heroics will have to show their mettle again. The Italians are 4/1 to win and put pressure on Ajax in second place, the draw is 13/4.

Gian Piero Gasperini’s men did create chances last time with Duvan Zapata, Papu Gomez and Josip Ilicic the main threats to Liverpool’s mismatched defence.

Inter Milan v Real Madrid, 20:00

It’s another battle of the bottom two in Group B tonight after Real edged out Inter 3-2 in Madrid in the first clash.

Yes you read that correctly, the two European giants are not having it all their own way – another loss for Inter could mean curtains.

The match odds have Antonio Conte’s side at 23/20 with Real at 21/10 for victory. A draw that would do neither side much good is 13/5.

Mariano Diaz has come back into the picture with both Karim Benzema and Luka Jovic absent. The forward is 5/1 to score first, with Eden Hazard 11/5 anytime.

It could be another topsy-turvy match with Both Teams to Score at 4/9. Inter to win from behind is 8/1. This has all the makings of a humdinger!

Elsewhere, Borussia Monchengladbach take on Shakhtar Donetsk, Marseille host FC Porto and Atletico Madrid take on Lokomotiv Moscow.
