Tuesday’s Champions League Betting Tips: Can Liverpool beat Atalanta?

The Champions League group stage continues with eight games from matchday three tonight.

Liverpool and Manchester City are hoping to secure their third straight victories, while Real Madrid and Inter Milan lock horns at the Bernabeu.

Atalanta v Liverpool, 20:00

Group D’s top two come to blows in Bergamo later with Liverpool 21/20 to get the three points.

Jurgen Klopp will be sweating on the fitness of defender Joel Matip so youngster Rhys Williams will be on red alert to make his first Champions League start.

Hosts Atalanta were the surprise package last season, exiting to PSG in the dying moments of the quarter final. The Italians look a strong outfit again and are 21/10 for victory.

La Dea’s Duvan Zapata has already bagged three goals in the competition and will fancy his shot at 9/2 to score first. Mohamed Salah is 19/20 anytime.

With no Virgil Van Dijk in Liverpool’s defence we could see both teams scoring here at 3/10. The Reds are 9/5 to win with Both Teams to Score.

Man City v Olympiakos, 20:00

Olympiakos travel to Man City having not progressed beyond the group-stages since 2014. The Greek side are 12/1 for a win which would throw the cat amongst the pigeons in Group C and leave City looking over their shoulder.

But City are heavy favourites and are 20/23 to Win to Nil with the outright victory at 2/9.

Gabriel Jesus could come back into contention for Pep Guardiola’s side. If the Brazilian does play, he’s Evens anytime to score.

If not, Ferran Torres may play the false nine again and is 9/2 to open the scoring.

The away side’s Youssef El Arabi is 7/2 to score anytime. Playmaker Mathieu Valbuena is 11/2 anytime.

Real Madrid v Inter Milan, 20:00

Both these sides have yet to pick up three points in Group B, and whoever loses tonight faces an uphill struggle to qualify for the knock-out rounds.

Inter will have to do without star striker Romelu Lukaku after the Belgian picked up a thigh injury. This leaves Real Madrid as 4/5 favourites, while the Italians are 3/1 for an away win.

The array of attacking talent on show could turn this into a goal-fest with Over 3.5 Goals at 6/5. The draw is 29/10.

In the goalscoring market, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema is 11/10 anytime, with Eden Hazard at 17/10 to score.

Inter’s main man could be Lautaro Martinez is 6/1 to score the opener, while Alexis Sanchez is 28/1 to net two or more.

There’s also Shakhtar Donetsk v Borussia Monchengladbach and Porto v Marseille tonight, while Bayern Munich look to beat Red Bull Salzburg ahead of Der Klassiker on Saturday.
