The safety net bet has been successful with its football predictions in each of the last two days and there is no point changing from a winning formula, so we are expecting FC Copenhagen to have little trouble beating Shamrock Rovers.
Yesterday marked the opening batch of Champions League third qualifying round first legs and FC Twente were comfortable in beating Romania’s FC Vaslui 2-0.
The second eight games to make up the third qualifying round are tonight and Copenhagen look the obvious selection to beat Irish champions Shamrock.
Copenhagen qualified beyond the group stages of the Champions League last season, before eventually being eliminated in the second round by Chelsea.
Prior to losing at home to Chelsea, Copenhagen had remained unbeaten in Denmark in the group stages, beating Rubin Kazan and Panathinaikos, while holding eventual winners Barcelona to a draw.
In total, the Chelsea loss is the only defeat suffered by Copenhagen at home in the Champions League in their last nine in the competition.
Shamrock scraped through the second qualifying round with a 1-0 aggregate victory over Estonian’s Flora Tallinn and they have only conceded one goal in their last five fixtures in all competitions.
But keeping clean sheets will prove far more difficult against the firepower of Copenhagen, who are arguably the toughest opposition that Shamrock could have been drawn against at this stage of the competition.
Copenhagen are a short 1/7 in the Champions League betting to beat Shamrock and we will be staking £140 on this outcome to fulfil our aim of making £20 each day.
Today’s stake: £140
Best case scenario: £391.50
Worst case scenario: £231.50
