Real Madrid, Juventus and Monaco slashed for Champions League – Bayern drift

Real Madrid are the new clear favourites for this season’s Champions League, while previous front-runners Bayern Munich are now among the outsiders.

A Cristiano Ronaldo double – including his 100th European goal – ensured Madrid won 2-1 at the Allianz Arena last night.

And that saw their odds tumble from 5/1 to 15/8 favouritism.

Conversely Bayern, who must now score at least twice at the Bernabeu next week, have tumbled out from 3/1 favourites to 10/1.

Juventus were another big mover this week, after the Old Lady thumped Barcelona 3-0.

Priced at 11/1 before the quarter-finals began, the Turin outfit are now second favourites at 11/4, with our traders seemingly confident they will avoid a Paris Saint-Germain-esque collapse.

Atletico Madrid have been trimmed slightly from 5/1 into 4s, following their 1-0 success over Leicester City.

Diego Simeone’s men would arguably be shorter, but they must still head to a rocking King Power Stadium next week and defend their slender advantage.

The biggest movers of the week are unquestionably Monaco, who saw off Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on Wednesday.

The French outfit were a sizeable 16/1 on Monday, but are now 9/1 shots.

Barcelona have faded from 5/2 to 16s, while Dortmund are now 25/1 having been 8s.

And it says a lot about Leicester’s performance in Madrid that they have only drifted slightly, from 33/1 to 40/1.
