Tottenham Hotspur will book their place in the Champions League quarter-finals tonight, so long as they avoid a heavy away reverse to Borussia Dortmund at Westfalenstadion.

Both sides are in poor form coming into the match. But Mauricio Pochettino’s men hold a crucial 3-0 advantage from the first-leg at Wembley Stadium three weeks ago.

Can Spurs build-on that lead with Harry Kane back in the side? Or will Jadon Sancho and co. come out firing in Germany? We’ve previewed the match with a full complement of tips.

Match Odds

Dortmund’s season is falling apart right at the wrong time. Lucien Favre’s men have won once in seven matches in all competitions, conceding 14 goals in that period.

That could spell good news for a Tottenham side who have won each of their last three matches against the Bundesliga club. Our traders have Spurs down as 13/5 shots to win the match.

You can double up on that market and back them with Over 2.5 Goals in the match at 4/1.

The hosts are narrowly odds-on at 19/20, with the Draw priced at 27/10. Spurs could also make appeal at 5/6 in the Double Chance market.

Talking Tactics

Most of Dortmund’s brightest play at Wembley went through Sancho. The young Englishman will be a crucial component again tonight alongside Mario Gotze, Marco Reus and Paco Alcacer.

All four provide a very real goalscoring threat, although their ability won’t be any good if the hosts fail to shackle Spurs down the wings as was the case three weeks ago ago.

Surprisingly enough it was Jan Vertonghen who caused the biggest problems at left-wing-back. He’ll be deployed there again, with Serge Aurier hoping to operate with similar success on the opposite side.

Achraf Hakimi and Raphael Guerreiro will be tasked with keeping the duo under wraps.

Kane will be restored up-front alongside Son Heung-min, with Christian Eriksen pulling the strings behind. Victor Wanyama and Oliver Skipp could also start in the absence of Harry Winks.

Goalscorer Odds

Kane has struck twice in three matches since returning from injury. He’s 7/5 for his fifth Champions League goal of the season, and 4/1 to open the scoring.

Son is next best for the visitors at 17/10, with Eriksen rated a 3/1 chance ahead of first-leg hero Vertonghen, who our traders are quoting a 14/1.

7/5 shot Reus heads the betting for Dortmund, ahead of Gotze at 9/4. Ex-Man City man Sancho is 15/8 to build on his performance from the first-leg and nab his eighth home goal of the season.

Elsewhere, Alex Witsel makes the most appeal of the outsiders at 9/2.
