Carabao Cup Betting Tips: Spurs, Stoke, Everton and Man Utd eye semi-finals
After thrills and spills last night, the Carabao Cup returns this evening for the remaining pair of quarter-finals.
Brentford and Manchester City have already qualified for the last four, with Stoke City, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton and Manchester United looking to join them tonight.
We’ve got your one-stop guide for tonight’s games in our latest Carabao Cup betting tips…
Stoke v Tottenham (17:30)
If Jose Mourinho joined Tottenham to win them trophies, then he’s got a good chance of doing just that with the Carabao Cup.
Stoke are ticking along nicely however, and have lost just one of their last seven games. What’s more, they’ve kept six clean sheets in that time.
And with Spurs netting just twice in their last three games, under 2.5 goals is 6/5. Harry Kane is 12/5 favourite to score first, while Gareth Bale, who should be given a good run out tonight, is 7/2 to score first and 6/5 anytime.
For the hosts, Steven Fletcher is 8/1 to score first, ahead of Sam Vokes at 9/1.
Everton v Man United (20:00)
Winning the Carabao Cup could be a significant moment for both of these sides. For Everton, it would mean a first trophy in 25 years, while for United it would represent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first piece of silverware in charge of the Red Devils.
To qualify, we’re 6/5 about the Toffees progressing, and 8/13 about the visitors making the last four.
Edinson Cavani could lead the line for Solskjaer tonight. The Uruguayan has looked sharp when on the pitch this term, and is 4/1 in the first goalscorer market, and 7/5 anytime.
Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the same price in both markets, although Ancelotti may opt to rest his star forward and hand Cenk Tosun a starting berth. The mercurial Richarlison is 7/1 to score first and 5/2 anytime.
