Bundesliga Betting Tips: Leipzig to down Hertha?

Bayern Munich may have taken a giant step towards the Bundesliga title with their 1-0 win over Borussia Dortmund last night, but there’s plenty still to play for in tonight’s five fixtures.

There’s huge interest at both ends of the table, with third-placed RB Leipzig and three of the league’s bottom four sides all in action.

Here’s your one-stop quick-fire guide to tonight’s key points…

RB Leipzig v Hertha Berlin (17:30)

Tonight’s opener could be the pick of the bunch. Leipzig are 1/3 for a win which would see them move above Dortmund in the table.

Hertha have won two on the spin since the re-start, including a 4-0 trouncing of Union in the Berlin derby. But that hasn’t convinced our traders, with the visitors out at 15/2.

Timo Werner grabbed a hat-trick in Leipzig’s 5-0 thrashing of Mainz at the weekend, and the striker is 23/10 favourite to net the opener this evening.

Hertha duo Kryzsztof Piatek and Vedad Ibisevic are each 9/1 to score first, with the latter in particularly good form having struck in each of his last two games.

Augsburg v Paderborn (19:30)

Both teams will be sniffing an opportunity in this one. Augsburg have lost four on the spin, while bottom side Paderborn are winless in eight.

Augsburg won the reverse tie 1-0 back in November, and they’re the 10/11 to complete the season double tonight. Visitors Paderborn are out at 27/10.

Both sides’ matches are averaging more than 3.18 goals this season, and there’s 3/5 about Over 2.5 goals, with Both Teams to Score at 8/15.

Fortuna Dusseldorf v Schalke (19:30)

Schalke harboured hopes of a top-six finish earlier this season, but a lack of form before the mid-season delay has continued since the re-start, with David Wagner’s men losing both of their post-resumption matches.

Hosts Fortuna will be out to extend Schalke’s woes, as they bid to avoid relegation. Our traders have Fortuna at 31/10, with the visitors at 7/4.

Hoffenheim v Koln (19:30)

This one is blessed with mid-table security, as ninth-placed Hoffenheim host tenth-placed Koln.

Neither side have won since the league re-started, and just two points separate them in the table. Our traders can’t split them much, with Alfred Schreuder’s hosts narrow 3/2 favourites, versus Koln’s 31/20. Both sides drew at the weekend and another draw is 13/5.

Union Berlin v Mainz (19:30)

We could be in for a humdinger in the capital as both Union Berlin and Mainz seek three huge points.

Both sides are hoping to stave off relegation, but both are also winless since the Bundesliga’s return.

Union claimed a 3-2 thriller in the reverse tie in the Autumn, and they’re 13/10 favourites for this one. Mainz are the 19/10 underdogs. Mainz also have the league’s worst defence, and 15/8 says we see over 3.5 goals this evening. Both Teams to Score is 3/5.
