Liverpool did their bit against Barcelona last night. Now it’s down to Tottenham Hotspur to overturn a one-goal deficit against Ajax tonight and set up an all-Premier League affair in the Champions League Final.

Like the Reds 24 hours ago, Spurs have work to do in the second-leg. Mauricio Pochettino’s men trail 1-0 on aggregate thanks to Donny van de Beek’s early goal in North London last week.

It’s all to play for at the Amsterdam ArenA. But who will come out on top between two attacking sides? We’ve previewed the crucial encounter in our Champions League Betting Tips.

Match Odds

Ajax and Tottenham couldn’t be in more contrasting form. The Eredivisie side have won nine in a 10 match unbeaten run, while Spurs have lost eight of their last nine away matches in all competitions.

No surprise then that our traders have Ajax down as 5/4 favourites inside 90 minutes and at 2/7 to progress. With goals running throughout the side, they’re 27/10 to Win and Both Teams to Score.

Son Heung-min’s return does at least give Pochettino’s men a chance. We have them at 2/1 in normal time or 5/2 to qualify. A Draw, which would be no good to Spurs, is a 2/1 shot.

A 2-1 scoreline would, though, be enough for the Lilywhites. That’s priced up at 9/1.

Talking Tactics

Erik ten Hag has no fresh concerns and could stick with the same side that got the job done last week. The spine of Matthijs de Ligt, Frenkie de Jong and Dusan Tadic will be crucial, as will Hakim Ziyech and David Neres.

Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama will have their work cut out attempting to disrupt Ajax’s slick movement. If they can manage that, then the return of Son alongside Lucas Moura up-front will give Tottenham a chance.

Jan Vertonghen is also expected to return after missing the weekend trip to AFC Bournemouth. Danny Rose was excellent last week and provides a crucial outlet down the left against Joel Veltman.

Goalscorer Odds

Tadic has an incredible 30 goals in 44 matches this season. He only netted 23 in four years with Southampton. He’s 4/1 to Score First or 7/5 Anytime tonight. Moroccan hotshot Ziyech is a 15/8 chance Anytime.

Fellow forward Neres is available at 14/5, while first-leg hero van de Beek is a 3/1 shot. Veteran ace Klaas-Jan Huntelaar will likely be used late on against tired legs. We have him down at 9/2 to Score Last.

Tottenham’s favourite Son will need to do the business if Spurs are to go through. The South Korean star has been lethal this season and is 6/4 Anytime or 9/2 to Score First.

Moura represents another potential threat at 2/1, with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen at 3/1 and 10/3 respectively.
