We’re into week 6 of this year’s Premier League Darts and the action returns to the M&S Arena in Liverpool with five mouth-watering matches, including Gerwyn Price v Michael Van Gerwen.

We’ve taken a look at all this week’s clashes, with the latest odds and key stats…

MICHAEL SMITH V PETER WRIGHT

Most of the recent meetings between these two have been tightly contested affairs and it’s Peter Wright who is 11/10 favourite to beat 9/5 shot Michael Smith.

Smith has won each of his last three Premier League matches and in top form following his win over Van Gerwen last week. Smith now sits second in the table just behind Glen Durrant on leg difference.

Wright’s posted the highest average so far with 110.00 last time out against Nathan Aspinall and this one will be close to call. Snakebite is 11/10 to hit the most 180s and 8/11 to score the highest Checkout.

DARYL GURNEY V GLEN DURRANT

Gurney is without a win in the Premier League this season and remains at the foot of the table. Meanwhile, Durrant comes in as leader with seven points from his five matches and is 6/5 favourite.

Despite being opposite ends of the table, the odds suggest this one will be closer than expected with Gurney 13/8 to get his first win of the campaign.

Durrant is 4/5 to have the highest checkout with Gurney Evens despite not throwing a 100+ so far this season. Duzza has had one in each of the last three weeks and 3 or more 100+ Checkouts is 5/2.

GERWYN PRICE V MICHAEL VAN GERWEN

Despite losing two of his last three matches, world number one MVG is 5/6 favourite against Price, who tasted defeat for the first time this season last week.

The Iceman has beaten Van Gerwen twice before, but he’s the 9/4 underdog as both players look to bounce back with a win in Liverpool. MVG defeated the Welshman in the Ladbrokes UK Open final on Sunday and Price will be keen for revenge. Van Gerwen threw a nine-darter in that match and a nine-dart finish here is 16/1.

Price is ranked world number three and this is expected to be a game of fine margins. A draw can be backed at 10/3 with over 11.5 legs 11/10.

ROB CROSS V STEPHEN BUNTING

Stephen Bunting is the selected challenger in Liverpool and will be hoping a home crowd can get behind him at M&S Arena.

Cross is the favourite at 5/6 with Bunting further back at 9/4. The Bullet has lost all of his previous four meetings with Cross, including a 10-8 defeat in the last 16 at the UK Open last weekend.

An over 120.5 Checkout is 10/11 with Cross 1/2 to win the race to five legs. Meanwhile, Bunting has shown signs of rediscovering his best form and he is 1/1 to hit the most 180s in the match against Cross who is second bottom in the Premier League table.

Rob Cross is favourite to beat Stephen Bunting in the 2020 Premier League Darts in Liverpool on Thursday.

GARY ANDERSON V NATHAN ASPINALL

This is the final match of the night and it looks like another tough one to call with Aspinall the narrow 13/10 favourite to beat Anderson who is 3/2, with a draw 11/4.

Aspinall has won three of his five matches this season and was unlucky to lose last week to Peter Wright, averaging above 100 for most of the match. He is 4/5 to score the highest Checkout with Anderson at Evens.

Anderson has the lowest checkout percentage in the league and is 4/5 to have his highest checkout under 120.5. A win would put him back in contention, but a third defeat would see him fall further behind the leaders.
