Fairytale finish awaits either Taylor or Cross in World Darts Final

The final of the 2018 PDC World Darts Championship sees Phil Taylor bid to bow out at the top versus rookie sensation Rob Cross.
There will be a great storyline for whoever prevails at Alexandra Palace.
Taylor could end his career with a 17th world crown, while Cross could cap one of the greatest rags to riches tale if he were to win.
Our traders reckon it’ll be a close one. Taylor is the 5/6 favourite, with Cross the out shot at Evens.
The key stats are this: Cross has thrown more than double the Power’s 26 180s.
But Taylor’s 52% average when it comes to doubles is significantly better – and perhaps crucially so – than Voltage’s 41%.
Taylor, with all of his experience, has taken chances when they come, and dropped just five sets over the last fortnight. The 27-year-old Cross has dropped 13.
Logic says to side with the Power. He’s been there and seen it all in more than 25 years at the very top. Cross wasn’t even a professional player 12 months ago.
It’s been a remarkable rise, and a deserved one too.
But while Van Gerwen missed five match darts and upwards of 50 doubles in the semi-final, Taylor’s entire career has been based on making sure those arrows count.
The Power is 6/5 on the -1.5 Set Handicap.
Cross is unsurprisingly 1/5 favourite to land the most 180s, while 3/1 says the title-winning double is Taylor’s favourite – 16.
As for King of the Oche, Taylor is way out at 12/1.
Though he’s favourite to win the final, the likely chance is that Cross (9/4) will throw far more 180s, and he’s shown quite a knack for huge finishes too.
