Australia vs England 6th ODI betting odds

After such an impressive Ashes tour, the one-day series has been a rather underwhelming watch for England fans, and it’s set to get worse with just two games left to play.

Stuart Broad, Tim Bresnan, Ajmal Shahzad, Graeme Swann and Chris Tremlett are all sidelined with injury, and with Liam Plunkett just touching down in Australia, the England attack will consist of James Treadwell, Chris Woakes, James Anderson and Steven Finn.

This depleted England attack is 1/1 to beat Australia, but the Australian side has been so dominant in amassing a 4-1 lead in this series, it’s difficult not to see the 4/5 for Australia to win as value.

Brett Lee continues to torment the English attack and has taken the wicket of Matt Prior on three of his four ODI innings.

Prior finally got off the mark with a 67 in his third appearance in the series at Adelaide, but a poor 14 in Brisbane has seen his odds to be England’s top series runscorer drift out to 5/1.

The England batsman have been inconsistent throughout the series and as a result, there are five batsman all at 4/1 to be England’s top runscorer in the 6th ODI.

Jonathan Trott’s duck in Brisbane has lengthened his odds after his century in Adelaide, and Trott now offers the most value at 4/1.

Michael Clarke topscored for Australia in Brisbane as the runs continue to be shared around the top order, but Cameron White has arguably been the most consistent performer and is a big price at 5/1 to be Australia’s top runscorer.

Australia lead in the sixes count by 13 to England’s 10, and the 5/6 for Australia to score more sixes than England in the 6th ODI looks the pick of the markets considering England’s weakened bowling attack.

A £25 stake on Australia winning the series 6-1 would return £81.25. New customers can sign up here for a free bet worth £25.
