Chicago fans are optimistic of their team’s chances of reaching the playoffs with the Bulls playing their way into form as the season run-in approaches.
The United Center residents are backed to pick up another victory on the road against the in-form Raptors as part of a road trip treble that also plumps for the Knicks and Nets to return to winning ways.
At odds of over 7/1 this tasty–looking treble returns a healthy £82.87 from a stake of just £10.
Chicago (27-25) have looked a different team in recent weeks and with Carlos Boozer back to full fitness and Joakim Noah in solid form it takes a brave backer to go against the Bulls.
Toronto (29-24) are also in great form having gone 7-3 from 10 after a three-game win streak and with the Raptors 10-2 from 12 at home the visitors will have their work cut out.
However, with Noah averaging 17.7 points, 14.4 boards and throwing at 57.1 per cent over the Bulls’ own three-game streak Tom Thibodeau’s men will be confident of the win.
Chicago are 5-2 from their last seven visits to the Air Canada Centre and should be backed to improve that record here.
Utah (19-33) are riding a wave of confidence at present having dispatched reigning champions Miami, the Lakers and Philadelphia in their last three games.
However, the All-Star break may well have disrupted their flow and Brooklyn (24-27) head to the EnergySolutions Arena as favourites despite winning just one of their last five visits.
The Nets have won eight of their last 12 on the road and will be confident of a win with Deron Williams on the court.
The former Utah man has hit 20 points or more in four of his five games against the Jazz since leaving Salt lake City and will be key to Brooklyn’s chances of picking up a 15th win in 21 games.
New York (20-33) are 1-6 from their last seven and on a five-game skid on the road.
However, New Orleans has been kind to the Knicks in recent visits and the Madison Square Garden residents will be quietly confident of a return to winning ways against the Pelicans (23-29).
Mike Woodson’s side are 8-2 from 10 meetings with New Orleans and 4-1 from five visits to the Smoothie King Center.
And, with Carmelo Anthony approaching top form – Melo has averaged 28.3 points shooting at 53 per cent in his last three games – the Knicks have to be the pick here.
Woodson will instruct his men to target the Pelicans’ Anthony Davis knowing he has been a key component to their success this term.
The Pelicans are 12-9 when Davis scores 22 or more but 8-15 when the 2012 first round draft pick fails to reach that number.
