We start with Ascot tomorrow (Saturday) where we have FRISSON COLLOGNES (12.20). We were very disappointed with him at Aintree.

Wethought he was a nice horse at home but he put no show in at all which took usby surprise.

Obviouslywe want to rebuild now because he is a nice, big, chasing-type of a horse andwe have put the tongue strap on just in case there’s something going on therebut we didn’t hear any noises. Hopefullyhe will acquit himself here.

SOLOMON GREY runs in the Christy 1965 Chase (2.05) against Altior and Cyrname. Hopefully we get a clear round and pick up a bit of third place prize money. What more can you say!

Iwanted to run him in a small field because he had a hard enough race atWincanton. Obviously we have no hope of winning here.

We have ROKSANA in the Coral Hurdle (2.40). She has had a run already this year. We didn’t have this race on the agenda at the start of the season but timings perfect, she looks fantastic, she’s had the advantage of a run, and the ground will be soft.

Sheis in very good form, I am very happy with her, and I am looking forward torunning her.

MARRACUDJA (3.20) runs in a race she was third in last year. It’s a £125k race so I am really looking forward to running him in this handicap. We have had it in mind and hopefully he can put his best foot forward and go very close. It’s been his seasonal target.

QUIET FLOW (3.50) runs in the bumper and is a proper nice horse. He is actually Solomon Grey’s brother. He is a lovely looking horse; big, strong, and will make a chaser.

Ithink he will acquit himself well. There are a couple of point-to-point winnersin there as well and a few with fancy form. Weare bringing him to Ascot because he is a nice horse and it is a good place toget started with him. I think he has a big future.

FALCON SUN goes to Haydock (1.50). He will cope with the step up in trip and Willie Marshall takes 7lbs off and rode him last time. I think he has an each-way chance.

The same thing can be said for GORTROE JOE who runs in this race also. He travelled very well at Wetherby the other day. A strongly run race around here should really suit him.

FLASH THE STEEL (2.25) has been targeted for this race since he won at Chepstow. I think he has the best recent form coming into the race. He stays well and is ready for this step up in trip. I think he is a real player and I am very excited about running him.

DIOMEDE DES MOTTES runs in the same race. He ran really well last time over three miles and this race is worth a hundred grand so why not have a go. Again Willie Marshall takes 7lbs off so hopefully he has an each-way chance.

We have two runners at Huntingdon. SOYOUTHINKSOAGAIN (12.30) is a nice horse but I can see him just improving a bit. He has had a long time off and has been a bit slow to get going this season.

I like FAIVOIR a lot (3.25). I think he will be competitive here.

We have two runners on Sunday starting with IDEE DE GARDE at Uttoxeter (1.10). He just got touched off last time. Obviously the market is going to think he will go one better and he should probably be favourite for this.

The same applies to MOLLY OLLYS WISHES (1.40). She just got touched off the other day and I hope she can go one better too.

Dan.
