2:30pm The Chesham Stakes

Group: Listed

Age: 2

Prize: £90,000

Distance: 7 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip:  Lope Fernandez (currently 6/5)

Trained by the legendary Aidan O’Brien, this 2-year-old created a buzz when he stormed home at Curragh on debut last month. Aidan O’Brien has circled this race as the time for Lope Fernandez to step-up and he’ll be hoping he can shine. The Chesham Stakes is a great race for newbies as the last 16 winners have all run less than 3 times in their careers. A good trend for Lope Fernadez who has had only 1 race in his career.

3:05pm  The Jersey Stakes

Group: 3

Age:  3

Prize: £90,000

Distance: 1 mile, 4 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Space Blues (currently 11/4)

After winning at York and Epsom, Space Blues has come to the attention of many. Trained by Charlie Appleby, Space Blues has the staying power to compete and recent trends are in his favour, with all but one of the last 17 winners running at least once that season (Space Blues has 4 runs this season).

3:40pm The Hardwicke Stakes

Group: 2

Age:  3 (fillies)

Prize: £200,000

Distance: 1 mile, 4 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Mirage Dancer (currently 5/1)

After running really well at Goodwood in May, Mirage Dancer will look to return to Royal Ascot with the form she showed in the last two seasons. She’s a classy stayer and could go well in The Hardwicke Stakes. Some trends to keep an eye on, all of the last 16 winners have won over a distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs (or further) and won a Group 2 or 3 race.

4:20pm The Diamond Jubilee Stakes

Group: 1

Age:  4+

Prize: £600,000

Distance: 6 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Invincible Army (currently 4/1)

Rapidly improving, this sprinter showed good form winning at Doncaster and York, he’s a strong traveller and could do well with a late charge. Trained by James Tate and his small team, Invincible Army has good form, but that tends not to bode well in The Diamond Jubilee Stakes as 12 of the last 16 winners didn’t win their previous race.

5:00pm  The Wokingham Stakes

Group: Heritage Handicap

Age:  3+

Prize: £175,000Distance: 6 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Bacchus (currently 16/1)

After not running since October, Brian Meehan’s handicapper will hope to rediscover his form from last year’s Royal Ascot when he won The Woking Stakes. The last 19 winners of the race have all won previously over 6 or 7 furlongs and hadn’t run more than 4 times that season, which bodes well for Bacchus.

5:35pm  The Queen Alexandra Stakes

Group: Conditions

Age:  3+

Prize: £90,000

Distance: 2 miles,  6 furlongs

Our Royal Ascot tip: Max Dynamite (currently 5/2)

Willie Mullins experienced 9-year-old will hope to perform better than in the last two races of 2018. This versatile stayer hasn’t run since October so should be fresh. He hasn’t won since 2017, but if the conditions are right, he could impress.
