Frankie Dettori discusses Private Secretary on Day Four of Royal Ascot

Published:

Japan will be very hard to beat but I am lookingforward to riding Private Secretary in the King Edward VII Stakes at 3.05.

He’s got a good draw and should run abig race. He has improved with every run and has developed physically.

He has grown and really strengthened.I like the horse and I think he’s got a great chance.

Japan is the one who sticks out, finishing a strong third in the Derby. He is the one we all have to beat but myhorse is going in the right direction.

I ride Advertise in the Commonwealth Cup (3.40) but he really has to bounce back.

He ran a bad race last time atNewmarket. That said, I am hopeful of a better performance tomorrow.

In the Coronation Stakes (4.20), I am on Twist N’ Shake. Again, she will have a lot to do but I hope she will get a piece of the prize.

The last is the Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes (5.35) where I ride Ben Vrackie.

It is such a competitive handicap, so I won’t be going here saying I’m going to win because it’s too hard to judge.
