Tottenham’s top-four odds Kane’d? Spurs’ chances on the drift

Published:

Will Kane’s pain dash Spurs’ hopes at the Lane? Tottenham’s odds of finishing in the Premier League top four have lengthened since Harry Kane hobbled off against Manchester City in midweek.

The England captain suffered a painful ankle injury in the win over City, which has now seen Spurs’ odds drift to 1/3 for a Champions League spot.

Kane has become one of the world’s best strikers in recent seasons, but with the likes of Son Heung-Min and Lucas Moura in their ranks, Spurs are still in the mix for a top four berth.

Elsewhere, our traders are struggling to split Arsenal and Chelsea at 5/6 apiece for the final spot, while Man United have been pushed out to 12/5 in the betting.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “It’s all to play for in the race for the top four and with Kane seemingly out for the season, Spurs’ chances of taking a Champions League spot are starting to drift.”

Chelsea’s trip to Liverpool this weekend may well have a big say in the fight for fourth, but Kane’s void could prove pivotal as the season comes to a close.
