Mullins on a roll: Trainer priced up for racing treble by 2030
It’s been some month for Willie Mullins. The trainer claimed his first Cheltenham Gold Cup with Al Boum Photo in March and followed that up with a maiden Irish Grand National success courtesy of Burrows Saint.
Now the question is what next for the legendary Irishman? He’ll be keen to retain those prestigious prizes, but we’ve priced the distinguished trainer up for three more races where he’s yet to taste success.
It all starts with the Queen Mother Champion Chase, where Mullins is 1/10 to saddle the winner by 2030.
We go 4/6 he trains the winner of the Betfair Chase by the same date and 2/1 about a Melbourne Cup success in the next 11 years.
Reckon he’ll land all three? We’ve priced the big race treble up at 9/2 before 2030.
Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “It has been a year of firsts for Willie Mullins and although there are very few races the legendary trainer has yet to win, there’s no doubt he will want to tick them all off.”
She continued, “It’s hard to believe that he hasn’t added the Champion Chase to his tally, but at 1/10, we reckon it’s a matter of when not if.”
