Baby Grace? Odds slashed on Royal Baby name after flurry of bets

Nobody knows the name of the new RoyalBaby. But that hasn’t stopped regal punters latching onto several popularchoices, with Grace the latest to attract significant support.

Having been installed as a 33/1 shot in January, we can now reveal that ‘Grace’ is the second-most popular pick behind only Diana at 6/1.

And that’s forced our traders to cut odds on the name to just 8/1 (from 12/1 on Easter Monday), making it the third-most likely option in the betting.

Elizabeth still leads the way at the head of the market at 5/1, while 12/1 shot Albert is rated the most likely name if the baby is a boy.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Punters are convinced Harry and Meghan are having a girl and all the money right now is going on ‘Grace’ in the baby name betting.”
