Wales v Trinidad & Tobago tips: Giggs’ side to win in Wrexham?

The International break is here, and Wales kick-off their fixtures with a home friendly match against Trinidad & Tobago.
It’s only the second time the two have met, with Wales running out 2-1 winners back in May 2006 in Austria as part of Trinidad’s World Cup preparations. A Robert Earnshaw double cancelled out Stern John’s opener.

Match Odds
Ryan Giggs’ side have struggled in recent games, winning just one of their last five fixtures. Despite their poor run, they still come into the match as favourites to win at 2/9.
Trinidad have a slightly better record across their last five games, with a win and a draw, but the opposition doesn’t compare. They’re underdogs, and it would be a big shock should they win. They’re 12/1.

Talking Tactics
Wales will be without a number of the first XI for the clash in the North of Wales, with Aaron Ramsey the highest profile figure on the sidelines with a knock on his thigh.
Sam Vokes, Tom Lawrence and Ethan Ampadu are all expected to miss this clash and their Euro 2020 qualifier against Slovakia on Sunday.
James Chester, Andy King and Joe Ledley have all had to withdraw through injury too.
Gareth Bale has managed to recover from an ankle injury that’s been affecting him all season, but Giggs may not risk him in the friendly with the qualifier taking priority, but it could offer a chance for the Madrid man to rediscover his form.
The visitors to the Racecourse Ground only have a couple of concerns. Atuallah Guerra had to withdraw from the trip to Wrexham with a minor injury, with left-back Joevin Jones staying at home citing personal reasons.
Goalscorer Odds
If Gareth Bale does make an appearance in the starting XI tonight, we’ve got him as the favourite to break the deadlock. Wales’ all time leading goalscorer is 2/1 to score first, or 8/13 anytime.
Young stars Tyler Roberts and David Brooks have been in good form for their club sides this season, and they’re behind Bale as next up to open the scoring. Roberts is 14/5, with Brooks at 9/2.
Harry Wilson has been equally as impressive this season, and is becoming something of a set-piece expert. We’ve got him at 13/8 to score anytime13/8 to score anytime.
Trinidad haven’t bagged a goal in two, so they’re overdue one. Levi Garcia is the favourite to grab a goal for the Soca Warriors. He’s 8/1 anytime.
