Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea appear set to miss out on a top-four finish this season, according to our punter’s bets.
The battle for the Champions League spots is looking very tight, with only four points separating Spurs in third from sixth-placed Chelsea.
And while Manchester United may currently be sat in fifth, they’re eight times as popular as Chelsea to finish in the top four. We make the Red Devils 5/4 to seal a top-four place.
Arsenal are next in the popularity charts as a 4/7 shot.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “United have somehow managed to close the gap between themselves and the top four to just two points since Solskjaer’s appointment. And their swing in fortunes has been met by a flood of bets over the last few weeks – making them by far the most popular pick with punters for a Champions League spot.”
