Saturday’s Euro 2020 qualifiers Betting Tips: Ireland to run up a cricket score?

Published:

The road to next summer’s European Championships has finally begun, and there’s even more footy to feast on this evening.

Sweden and Romania lock horns in a crucial Group F match, whilst Italy and Spain go in search of statement wins.

But first stop on today’s road to Euro 2020 is Gibraltar, as they host Republic of Ireland…

Gibraltar v Republic of Ireland

It’s been 17 years since Mick McCarthy last managed a Republic of Ireland game. But now he’s back and takes on Gibraltar as 1/20 heavy favourites.

You may fancy the Irish to chalk up a score here, it’s 31/20 for the Boys in Green to win with Over 4.5 goals in the game. Our traders have also priced up an away win with Over 5.5 Goals at 13/4.

League One’s top marksman James Collins is 14/5 to score first. But if you’re feeling a punt, Gibraltar are 45/1 to score victory.

Sweden v Romania

This game could have big implications for the rest of the group, as if expected, Spain cruise through. The Swedes, Romania and Norway are seemingly battling for one qualification spot.

Our traders have the home side at 3/4 to win the game and 19/5 to triumph with both teams scoring.

Sweden’s latest talisman appears to be Emil Forsberg now, the RB Leipzig man is 10/3 to score anytime.

Romania did win the last match between the pair though, a repeat of that 1-0 scoreline is priced at 10/1.

Italy v Finland

Our traders are tipping Italy to score a vital victory in their group opener at 2/7.

As both Mario Balotelli and Andrea Belotti missed out on the squad, you can find Fabio Quagliarella at 21/20 to score anytime.

Kevin Lasagna is in the squad and you can eat up 15/8 for the Udinese striker to notch.

This could be a close affair though with the Azzuri scoring more than one goal in just one of their last nine home matches.

You could have a gander at Both teams to score and Under 2.5 goals at 9/1.

Spain v Norway

Spain are the hefty 2/11 favourites here, despite Luis Enrique omitting some big names from the squad.

La Roja have an impressive record at home of only losing once since 2003 – to guess who? England!

Can Norway repeat the Three Lions success? Well you can get the away side at 18s for an upset.

It would appear Spain have enough fire power to get the job done with Alvaro Morata at 5/6 to get on the scoresheet.

If you fancy a goal-fest, you can find Spain to win and Over 4.5 goals in the game at 16/5.
