Premier League tips: Liverpool to go top with win at Fulham?

Published:

This season’s gripping Premier League title fight takes another turn this Sunday as Liverpool head to struggling Fulham.

This should be straight-forward for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds. They’ve got a great opportunity to put pressure on Manchester City.

But you can never be sure with games against sides in the bottom three at this stage of the season.

That clash at Craven Cottage is followed by Chelsea’s trip to Everton, with the Blues hoping to maintain their top-four push.

Fulham v Liverpool – 2:15pm, Sky Sports Premier League

After their brilliant performance in Munich on Wednesday, Liverpool will be on cloud nine as they head to West London. Klopp knows that a win would move the Reds top, and put the pressure on rivals Man City.

They’re 1/4 to beat a Fulham side which has lost their last six games in a row. There’s a chunky 11/1 about a home win, with 24/5 for a draw which would do nothing for either side.

Sadio Mane can’t stop scoring these days. The Senegalese star has 10 goals in his last 10 games, with six of those in his last four.

After a crucial brace against Bayern Munich, Mane is 3/1 joint-favourite with Mo Salah to score first. There’s 4/1 about Mane bagging a double for the third game in a row.

And if Fulham’s leaky defence can’t hold up, we’re 7/4 about Liverpool to win on the -2 handicap.

Everton v Chelsea – 4:30pm, Sky Sports Premier League

Tottenham’s recent dip in form has opened up the top-four race, but Chelsea failed to take advantage in last week’s draw at home to Wolves.

Can Maurizio Sarri’s men do better against an Everton side limping to the end of the season? They’re coming into this off a long trip to Kiev in midweek, but 10/11 says the visitors win at Goodison Park.

Everton have only won two of their last eight games, and they were against teams in the bottom three. Marco Silva is starting to feel the heat, but a win at 29/10 would certainly ease the flak.

Eden Hazard travelled to Ukraine but was an unused substitute on Thursday night, and the Belgian is 7/2 joint-favourite alongside Gonzalo Higuain to net the opener.
