Premier League tips: Liverpool to continue title push against Burnley?

Mo Salah - Liverpool

Liverpool will be hoping to keep the pressure on Manchester City this Sunday when they host Burnley at Anfield.

It’s part one of a triple-header, with Chelsea versus Wolves and Arsenal against Manchester United completing an excellent Super Sunday.

You can catch a full preview of the Gunners versus United here. Stay put though for a one-stop guide to Liverpool and Chelsea’s contests…

Liverpool v Burnley – 12:00pm, BT Sport 1

Jurgen Klopp insists that his side are not bottling it. But if they can’t beat Burnley then it’ll be hard to agree with the German.

Liverpool are 1/6 favourites, but Burnley held out for a draw at Anfield last season and the Reds can ill-afford a repeat.

And having drawn three of their last four games in all competitions, another draw is 13/2, while the Clarets are 20/1 to stun Anfield with a win.

Mo Salah is 13/5 favourite to score first, but it’s Sadio Mane who has carried Liverpool’s goal-threat in recent weeks. The Senegal ace 14/5 to break the deadlock.

Burnley duo Chris Wood and Ashley Barnes have scored five league goals more than Salah and Roberto Firmino in 2019.

There’s 12/1 about Wood to score first as he did versus Spurs, and 10/1 for Barnes to put the Clarets ahead, just as he did at Old Trafford in January.

Chelsea v Wolves – 2:05pm, Sky Sports Premier League

With Arsenal and Manchester United playing each other, Chelsea have a chance to make inroads in their quest for the top four.

But the Blues face a Wolves side who love playing the top six this season. The Molineux outfit have taken points off every top six side bar Liverpool, and beat Chelsea 2-1 in the reverse tie in December.

Maurizio Sarri’s men appear to have got their act together in recent weeks though, and they’re 8/15 favourites for the win. There’s 3/1 about a draw while Wolves will fancy their chances at 5s.

Gonzalo Higuain looked sharp against Fulham last week, and the Argentine shares 10/3 favouritism to score first alongside Eden Hazard.

Wolves will hope Raul Jimenez can continue his excellent run in front of goal though, and the Mexican is 15/2 to net first and 14/5 anytime.
