Noel Fehily hopes for big things from Big Bite, Singlefarmpayment and Momella

I am looking forward to getting going now and hoping a winner pops up from somewhere.

That is never easy at the Cheltenham Festival, especially so now that Get In The Queue, who I mentioned on Saturday, has been ruled out of the Champion Bumper. I thought he was my best chance of the week.

My first ride is The Big Bite (1.30) in the Supreme. He put in a very good run at Haydock when he was an impressive winner. He was then a bit disappointing next time at Kempton behind Mister Fisher, where he didn’t get the run of the race.

I think he will outrun his odds but if he ran into the first four or five I would be delighted. I think he prefers going left-handed too.

I don’t have a ride in the Arkle but I think Glen Forsa (2.10) has been very good. He stays, having won over three miles, two and a half miles, two miles. He just looks like a good horse and it probably isn’t a vintage Arkle.

Now that the rain has come I think Kalashnikov is a bit of a forgotten horse and I expect him to come into it. He looks like he wants two and a half miles but rain and slower ground will bring him into the picture more.

Singlefarmpayment (2.50) deserves to win a race like the Ultima but keeps getting beat. He loves it around Cheltenham where they go fast, which is a help. He is a great each way bet.

Last time he just got caught on the line. He does get called names for that. I am not sure he quite sees it out up the hill and that’s probably a lot of the problem. He is sure to be thereabouts again.

I am going to biased about the Champion Hurdle as I rode Buveur D’Air (3.30) to his first win in the race. He is a fantastic horse to have won two Champion Hurdles and I would love to see him win three and then hopefully he will get the recognition he deserves.

I do like Laurina as well. She has looked very good, as she did last year. She looks a monster of a mare and I think she is the one that is going to give Buveur D’Air a race.

My last ride of the day Momella (4.10) is another I expect to run very well. She was third behind Black Op and Lostintranslation at Aintree last year, which is good form.

She was going to run a very big race first time up this season when she was coming to challenge Unowhatimeanharry when she fell a stride or two after the hurdle at Newbury. That would have been a very good run.

I’d say she hadn’t quite recovered from that when she ran next time and pulled up early. I schooled her on Monday and she is back in good form so I think she can run very well.

She has good form and I wouldn’t be shocked if she runs a big one. I think she could be my best chance.
