Which Oscar nominees have had a BAFTA bump?

Published:
Olivia Colman

Our traders have trimmed Rami Malek and Olivia Colman’s odds of Oscar glory following their triumphs at the BAFTAs.

Malek won Best Actor last night for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody. He’s now 1/4 to pick up the Leading Actor award at the Oscars later this month.

The BAFTA committee crowned Colman as Best Actress for her performance in The Favourite. Colman is now 4/1 to win the Leading Actress Oscar, with Glenn Close the clear 1/5 favourite.

Elsewhere, Roma looks set to be crowned Best Picture at 4/11. The Spanish-language film is also likely to nab a second Best Director gong for Alfonso Cuaron (1/20).

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We wouldn’t at all be surprised to see Rami Malek and Olivia Colman scoop even more gongs in the coming weeks.”
