On day ten of the January transfer window, and with very few major deals completed, the gossip continues to circulate.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery says the club have no money to spend in the January window, with the biggest deal of the day being Anthony Pilkington’s free transfer from Cardiff to Wigan.

There’s still plenty of time to get the deals complete, as we look at the biggest rumours from today…

Perisic finally Manchester bound?

Inter Milan are finally preparing to allow their Croatian star Ivan Perisic to leave the club and join Manchester United for a cut-price fee.

Regularly linked with a move to the North of England, Perisic is still being looked at by United, and a lowered asking price of £30m could see the Red Devils finally nab their man.

United most recently had bids of up to £40m rejected by the Milan giants in the summer.

Hammers back in for Wilson?

West Ham are looking to go back in for Callum Wilson if they’re forced to accept a bid for current striker Marko Arnautovic.

The Irons failed with a £25m bid for Wilson back in the summer of 2016, but see him as the ideal replacement should their Austrian forward move to China.

Fees haven’t been discussed yet, but they may have to spend around £50m to match what Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay for the England international.

Barella unconvinced by West London chances

With Chelsea moving Cesc Fabregas on to Monaco, a midfield spot is up for grabs at Stamford Bridge. But Italian Nicolo Barella isn’t convinced he’ll get enough game time in West London.

The 21-year-old midfielder could cost Chelsea upwards of £45m if a deal were to be agreed, but a lack of assurances over his role in the side could prevent Barella from agreeing a deal to leave Cagliari.

Magpies move Almir-off?

Newcastle United’s move for Atlanta United’s Paraguayan playmaker Miguel Almiron is on the rocks after balking at the likely cost of the transfer.

The MLS champions are looking for offers upwards of £30m for the 24-year-old, and the player’s agent looking to negotiate a contract worth £100,000-a-week. Newcastle value the player at significantly less.
